Bannerghatta National Park If you want to visit a wild side the best place is to visit Bannerghatta National Park situated on the southern outskirts of Bangalore where one can find everything right from avifauna to panthers. The park that covers 25,000 acres (104.27 sq.kms) of area is a home place for panthers, lions, tigers and a huge variety of birds.

One can engage himself to an adventure with a lion and tiger safari. You can spend your time in the Zoological Garden where one can find canopy of shady and sturdy trees which is quiet a resting spot beside a pond and watch waterfowl frolic. There is a separate reptile park in the zoo. A snake park will allows one to get a close with scaly, slithery creatures. An attractive addition to the park is the children's corner. People who enjoy the enthusiasm of trekking can have that benefit on a natural rock named Hajjamana Kallu which is 3.0 kms from the place and Mirza Hill 1.5 kms.

Bannerghatta National park is located 22 kms south of Bangalore.

One can see different mammals in Bannerghatta National Park which includes elephant, gaur, leopard, jackal, fox, wild pig, sloth bear, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, common langur, bonnet macaque, porcupine and the hare.

There is a separate tourist area in the north of this park where one can enjoy the lion and tiger safari, a herbivore safari, a mini zoo, a reptile park, a mini aviary and a museum too.

One can enjoy visiting the place round the year as the whole year is considered as the best time to visit this place.
