Hermitage Guesthouse maintains all the principles of an authentic Eco Lodge without missing the necessary comforts of a modern traveler. Emphasis is laid on to produce a pure natural feeling with ample privacy during your stay here. The Guesthouse is a working farm dotted with plantations, and around it are the three distinct accommodations in the form of small beautiful cottages, designed and furnished well in harmony with the lush green ambience that surrounds the place.
Cottages are mostly done with local materials like wood, bamboo, thatch, and local village tiles, with each having a charm of its own. Inside you will find cool soothing interiors, open air bathroom fitted with running hot and cold water. Though there is no electricity the starry sky and lush green canopy around fulfill its absence.
Dining
at Hermitage
Guesthouse is extremely
fresh, wholesome and healthy affair, combined with local
herbs and spices. Traditional Parsee and Anglo Indian foods
prepared from lot of fresh fruits
and vegetables. Also included
in the menu are a range of non-vegetarian dishes. The
dining area is a communal, earth and thatch house in the
woods with shrubs around. Inside
there is a combination of dinning table, low tables and
sofas for your comfort while having meal.
With the rainforest hikes on their doorstep, year round flowers, colorful birds and butterflies, bat caves and splendid rocky terrains, guests have plenty of options to spend their day at Hermitage Guesthouse.
