Built using only reclaimed building material from South Indian Colonial houses and Chettinad palaces as per the traditional Indian architectural style, the bungalows are well equipped with all the modern facilities except for the air conditioning for when you a have refreshing sea breezeblowing 24 hours a day what’ s the need for an air conditioning system?
The resort’s restaurant and the lounge with its fresh fruit juice and coffee bar is a fine place to relax. Providing a wide variety of healthy gourmet fusion food, the cuisine based as it is on hypo toxic diet is carefully prepared using farm fresh organic produce from the resort’s own vegetable garden and from Elephant Valley, their Nature reserve, Eco-lodge and Organic farm in Kodaikanal. It is also the
place to choose and play games or catch a movie from its DVD Bank.
At the Dune, visitors get a chance to indulge in some creativity of their own. Being a base for Artists in Residence (AIR), the Dune acts as a hub for international artists to live, meet, work and to discover India, its artists and craftsmen and encourages artist to experiment with different mediums, from brushes to shovels, from paint to stone.
Besides, they can also go visit the utopian town of Auroville where they can learn yoga, have massage, see exhibitions, watch movies, go horse riding etc; visit the former French colony of Pondicherry with its quaint houses and numerous restaurants; see the famed stone temples of Mahabalipuram and Tiruvanamalai, the Ramanamaharishi Ashram and Gingee fort in addition to taking a boat ride in the azure and serene Bay of Bengal.
