Day 1: Delhi (evening) - Pithoragarh (morning)
Leave Delhi in the evening and reach Pithoragarh in the morning. A part of Sur valley, Pithoragarh represents a unique amalgamation of a town and a village. Spend the day at leisure visiting the town temples and shopping for for leather, woolen, wooden and cane goods, for whichPithoragarh is famous.
Day 2: Pithoragarh - Munsiyari
Drive 154 kms to Munsiyari. From Munsiyari, one gets an excellent view of the Panchchuli peaks. Halt for the night at Munsiyari.
Day 3: Munsyari to Lilam - Raurgari
After breakfast, we drive 4 kms till Darkot from where we commence our trek along the banks of Gori Ganga at an average height of 4500 ft. We reach at Raurgari via Lilam where we camp for the night.
Day 4 : Raurgari- Mapang- Rilkot
Early morning we begin our strenuous trek along a gorge past the Gori Ganga River. The route is fairly up and down but eases off before reaching Mapang(3100 mts, 9 kms) and Rilkot (3200m 4km) where we camp for the night.
Day 5: Rilkot- Martoli-Lawan
Early morning, we begin our trek to Martoli village (3324 m). On the way from Rilkot, we get a magnificent view of the Martoli peak. On reaching Martoli, we explore the town and then leave for Lawan after lunch. The trek to Lawan is along the river and through meadows with the Nanda Devi looming up large ahead.
Day 6: Lawan –Shiama Kharak
We trek 10 kms to Shiama Kharak , which is our base camp. Shiama Kharak (4200 M) with its rolling meadows offers some of the fantastic views of the Himalayan Peaks.
Day 7: Bhital Guar (4450 m)
We make a 5kms trek to the base for views of the glacier and the peaks. From here we visit the glaciers on the Trail’s pass area and the base camp for Nanda Kot.
Day 8:Shiama Kharak- Rilkot
We trek back 20 kms from Shiama Kharak to Rilkot. Night at Rilkot
Day 9: Rirgari /Raurgari - Munsiyari (20 kms)
We trek back 20 kms from Raurgari to Munsiyari, where we camp for the night
Day 10: Munsiyari – Saat Tal- Kathgodam - Delhi
From Munsiyari, we drive to reach Kathgodam via Saat tal in the evening. From Kathgodam we catch the overnight train to arrive in Delhi in the morning.
